Unit II Geometric design: Road geometrics, Gradient, Camber, Sight distances, Design of horizontal curvature, Vertical curvature.
Unit III Highway materials: Aggregates-desired properties and laboratory tests, bituminous materials- desired properties and laboratory tests, Mix design.
Unit IV Pavement design: Types of pavements, Components of pavement, Flexible pavement design, and rigid pavement design.
Unit V Traffic engineering: Fundamental parameters and relations, models, Traffic studies, at grade intersection and grade separated intersection
